Sedangkan di Kabupaten Kubu Raya dilaksanakan di Hotel Dangau.Menurut Ketua PHRI Kalbar Eddy Rasyid, hal ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas hotel, serta pelayanan sebagai sarana penunjang sektor pariwisata. “Sertifikasi merupakan upaya yang tepat untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pekerja di bidang pariwisata. Sudah saatnya pekerja meningkatkan kemampuannya, sehingga memenuhi standar internasional. Terutama pekerja di bidang Hotel,” katanya. Ia memaparkan bahwa kini persaingan pekerja di bidang pariwisata sudah semakin ketat, sehingga pekerja Indonesia harus mampu menunjukkan kemampuannya. Target PHRI secara nasional diutamakan pada peningkatan sertifikasi sumber daya manusia (SDM). “Sertifikat hotel berbintang ini merupakan langkah PHRI untuk memajukan industri perhotelan. Sertifikat ini menjadi bukti hotel itu masuk kelas melati, bintang dua, tiga, empat dan restaurant dan sudah memenuhi standar,” jelasnya.Eddy menuturkan, sertifikasi pertama ditekankan pada fisik bangunan, inventaris hotel dan fasilitas seperti hydrant atau pemadam, instalasi pengolahan air limbah, standar kesehatan sanitasi, serta fasilitas lain yang bisa menjadi persyaratan dasar penilaian sertifikasi. “Pada sertifikasi ini, standardisasinya akan disesuaikan dengan kelas dan fasilitas yang tersedia,” jelas Eddy. Sementara untuk sertifikasi kedua, dilihat dari manajemen hotel, di mana komposisi dan fungsi masing-masing jabatan yang memegang suatu bidang, harus sesuai dengan potensi masing-masing individu. “Jangan sampai ada jabatan yang tidak sesuai dengan kemampuan orang tersebut, karena otomatis dapat mengganggu kinerja perhotelan,” kata Eddy. Sertifikasi ketiga, penekanannya pada kualitas SDM. Seperti standardisasi kompetensi karyawan dengan melakukan pelatihan dan selanjutnya dilakukan uji kompetensi dan sertifikasi profesi hotel dan restoran oleh tim. Tim yang dimaksud berasal dari Lembaga Sertifikasi Profesi (LSP) Hotel dan Restoran. Mereka memiliki hak untuk disertifikasi adalah yang berpengalaman dua tahun karena skill-nya sudah memadai. ”Sertifikat ini merupakan sertifikat skill kompetensi, keterampilan, pengetahuan, dan attitude personal.
